Great Grapes Uncork The Fun! 2011 Tour

On April 30th & May 1st, 2011 | 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., “Wine lovers and weekend warriors” are welcomed with open arms in Reston Town center for this two day Drink.Eat.Relax event:

“You’ve got two days to sip your way through 200 wines from 20 Virginia wineries. Well, that’s certainly a task worth conquering. Great Grapes returns for its fifth annual wine-up and we’re in luck – two of these events are located in Reston Town Center, a mere stone’s throw (and a 20 minute drive) from Washington DC. Enter, grab your souvenir wine glass, sip (some choose to spit although I don’t recommend it), and savor some smashing wines – all while soaking up Spring sunshine in Reston Town Center.

Experts will demonstrate food and wine pairings in the Gourmet Live! tent throughout the event. Chef Bo Palker of Vinifera Wine Bar & Bistro will share some best chef secrets; professional recipe developer, Diane Eblin, will talk gluten-free cooking; Lauren Desantis of Capital Cooking will host Spring is in the Air with Wine to Pair; and much, much more.

Lug in the lawn chair, pack a picnic blanket, uncork, and enjoy a lineup of live music including School of Rock, Junkyard Saints, and Jack Diamond & Jim Steed Band to name just a few. Covering all angles there’ll also be a kids activity area for families, ample free parking at the center, and discounted tickets for the designated driver!”
